This rich and decadent pie can really be taken anyway you want it. 
 
Sweet and Salty – add less chocolate chips, more walnuts and a dash of nutmeg (1/2 tablespoon)
Smooth and Rich – add more chocolate chips and some good ol’ Bourbon (up to 1/4 cup)
Sweet and Spicy – add some ginger (1/2 teaspoon) or cinnamon (up to 1 tablespoon)
Short and Sweet – just add a dash of vanilla (up to 1 tablespoon)
 
Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 C corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Walnuts
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Pie Crust (find your own recipe! Sorry, I’m not a pie crust person)
 
Directions:
1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
2. Cream butter and sugar, add corn syrup and salt
3. Mix in chocolate chips and walnuts
4. Pour mixture into pie crust and bake for 45 minutes
 
This is truly a fool-proof pie. You just can’t go wrong! Let it sit, but serve warm with whipped cream (there are some fun flavored whipped cream recipes out there that work perfectly with this – I suggest googling Flavored Whipped Cream recipes.
